NIKKOR Telephoto Lens Products Are FX Compatible

Nikon Australia is expanding NIKKOR lens and accessory lineups for the FX-format D3-series and
D700 digital-SLR cameras by releasing new high-performance products compatible with the FX
format, hopefully suiting more types of users.   The telephoto AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens is equipped with Vibration Reduction, VR II, that reduces the effects of camera shake equivalent to a shutter speed increase of approximately four stops. The AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E III is among the first teleconverters to utilise an aspherical lens element. Both are compatible with the FX format.The AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II has three focus modes. The newer A/M mode - autofocus with manual override and AF priority - prevents accidental switching from autofocus to manual focus. M/A is an autofocus mode with manual override and manual priority, which enables manual focusing by rotating the focus ring while autofocus is operating. A straight manual is still available, too. The lens optics and Nano Crystal Coat have been maintained in this lens without modification.The AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E III is an FX-format compatible teleconverter that extends the focal length of the primary lens by 2 times. Using an aspherical lens element helps make it more compact and lightweight. A new optical design has been adopted for better contrast and resolution.
