英国布里斯托大学2010年度科学艺术摄影大赛各个奖项近日揭晓，一束玫瑰花的X光照片等作品分别入围。这些摄影作品都是科学家们在生理学、药理学、生物化学等学科领域研究过程中拍摄的。在一幅X光照片中，一束玫瑰美丽中带有几分诡异色彩。其他获奖作品还包括：蛋白质对称晶体、美丽的未知霉、 DNA折纸术、免疫细胞与癌细胞跳探戈等。

2010年“我们的水下世界摄影比赛”和第四届“印尼深海国际摄影比赛”吸引了5000幅参赛作品，获奖者来自世界二十个国家。
获得本次大赛总冠军的作品是45岁的职业摄影师马格努斯 隆格伦在冰岛Thingvellir湖底拍摄的，照片里一名潜水员正在穿越一个怪异的大裂沟。

The competition is open to any photographer who has submitted a picture for publication in an Australian media outlet in the 12 months from September 1, 2009 to August 31, 2010.
The cost of entering the photographic categories, including GST, is $260. For photographers only one fee is payable, regardless of the number of categories entered. Through its support of the Walkley Awards, the Alliance covers the entry cost for its financial members as a benefit of membership.
